HOW DO I ENTER AN EVENT?

WHAT IS THE TEAM FORMAT?
Teams play in split pairings each round against different opposing teams in various formats as well as individual competitions. This promotes networking amongst the golfers.
HOW ARE SUBSCRIPTIONS PAID?
Subs are usually paid before the first round or can be paid monthly, very flexible. Accommodation portion (Fancourt weekend) can be settled before the weekend of the event.
WHAT DO THE SUBSCRIPTIONS COVER?
All green fees, halfway, dinner, drinks on the course as well as a chance to win some great prizes.
WHAT IS A 2 CLUB GAMBLE?
At each event, players chip in R20 each and the proceeds are divided amongst all players who make a 2-club.
CAN TEAMS CHANGE PLAYERS EACH ROUND?
Yes, as long as teams field a team of 4 players.
WHAT DOES A TEAM CONSIST OF?
Teams can be made up from one company who can invite various clients each round. Teams can also be shared with other companies or 4 individual friends / business colleagues can make up a team.
DO PLAYERS REQUIRE AN OFFICIAL HANDICAP?
Yes, preferably, but players who aren’t affiliated at any golf club will be given a relevant handicap based on their average scores. To promote fair play, the Corporate Cup handicap system is applied at each event and players handicaps are adjusted accordingly.
HOW ARE POINTS AWARDED IN THE LEAGUE?
A maximum of 5 points is awarded per team per event (2 points for a pair win, ½ point for a shared result & 1 bonus point for the best combined result of the 2 competing teams if one pair wins and the other loses their matches).
WHAT IS THE PRIZE FOR THE LEAGUE WINNERS?
The winning team for each league division after the completion of the league rounds will qualify for an extra round, playing in the play-offs against the other winning teams. The winning team from this event will win a trip to Mauritius to play in the Paradis Challenge the following year. Runners up will win a trip to St Francis Links for 2 rounds of golf and accommodation for 3 nights at St Francis Resort.
WHAT IS THE HOLE-IN-ONE PRIZE?
If any golfer has a hole-in-one at any Corporate Cup Challenge event, they will win a bed sponsored by Bedcentre and Sealy.
